Celebrate Homegrown Arts with Alberta Arts Days

Alberta Arts Days is three exciting days - September 17-19, 2010 - to showcase Alberta artists of all types, and to encourage Albertans to discover, experience and celebrate the arts. As Alberta Arts Days continues to grow, it will continue to promote the importance of arts and culture as part of a prosperous, healthy and vibrant Alberta.

This year, the Barrhead Public Library celebrates Alberta Arts Days in a whole new way! Check out our events:

Friday, September 17 only! Catch live art demonstrations by members of the Barrhead Art Club and be sure to check out a display of their finished work too!

On Friday and Saturday, don’t miss our exhibitions! Student art in a variety of media by the young artists of our very successful summer Fine Arts Camp will be on display, as will some of the summer's finest photos by the Barrhead Photography Club.

Finally, join us for ‘Make Your Mark,’ an outdoor public art project exploring the medium of graffiti street art. Everyone’s an artist, come make your mark! Friday and Saturday only, weather permitting.

Please join us to celebrate an entire weekend of fresh, homegrown Alberta arts - only @ your library!
