SUMMER READING CLUB | JULY 4 to AUG 4

The TD Summer Reading Club is a drop-in programming running every weekday in July until August 4th! Come and explore the world and have a summer of imagination and fun.

READING BUDDIES

Reading buddies is a free reading mentorship program run by the library. It is designed to provide literary support for elementary students during the summer months when their reading skills tend to slip.

Sessions are scheduled weekday mornings (10 – noon) throughout July. We encourage one session a week but will gladly accept booking any number of sessions. Sessions are 45 minutes of one-on-one reading practice with one of two summer staff members. As it is all one-on-one practice the needs of each student can be met specifically. We incorporate library books they are interested in as well as vocabulary games to keep them engaged.

Registering your child for sessions can be arranged through the library and we encourage you to sign up as quickly as possible because times and space are limited! Come into the Barrhead Public Library or email Dylan and register today!
